BOTOX® for Non-Surgical Jaw Reduction
A widened or square jaw can be caused by enlargement of the the chewing muscles otherwise known as the masseter muscle. By injecting botox into the masseter muscle, the facial width can be reduced. This reduction softens and enhances the appearance of the lower face achieving more of a heart shaped facial appearance. Almost all patients can reduce their facial width by injecting the masseter muscle with botulinum toxin. Dr. Kim tailors his treatment strength and follow-up to achieve the longest lasting results in the most efficient manner.

BOTOX® Cosmetic
Botox injections are the most commonly performed cosmetic procedure. These minimally invasive injections reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. Lines between the eyes, crow's feet, and forehead lines are commonly treated with very little downtime. Our practice is also well versed on advanced areas for botox cosmetic including bunny lines, chin, lower face and neck.
When injected into the skin, Botox blocks specific muscles from the repetitive actions that cause fine lines and wrinkles. This action leads to a younger and more refreshed appearance. After treatment, the appearance of wrinkles begins to improve within a few days. The full effect can take up to one week. Botox is safely absorbed and will last on average about four months. Dr. Kim evaluates every patient for their unique facial features and injects to create the most natural looking results. The goal is to look refreshed without being overdone or frozen.
Nefertiti Lift
An overactive platysma muscle is a major depressor in the lower face. When it contacts the platysma muscle blunts the jawline and sags the lower face. In the Nefertiti Lift, botox is injected at several sites along the patient's jaw line and neck. The effect of the injections is to enhance the jaw line, soften jowls, uplift the corners of the mouth and give the effect of a mini lift. The Nefertiti Lift is a minimally invasive effective alternative for patients wanting to push back or avoid surgery.
BOTOX® for Hyperhidrosis
Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating is dependent on a chemical neurotransmitter called acetylcholine. Botox acts by blocking the release of acetylcholine. Hyperhidrosis is commonly seen in the underarms, hands and feet. Botox injections into these areas safely reduces sweating for six month or longer. Contrary to many oral medications and surgery, Botox injections for hyperhidrosis have minimal side effects. There are no effects on sweating elsewhere or on body temperature regulation. Botox is a great treatment for hyperhidrosis patients that are irritated or sensitive to antiperspirants.
BOTOX® for Migraines
Botox has been FDA approved to treat chronic migraine headaches in adults. Botox injections have been shown to be effective in the prevention of migraines. Migraines are debilitating headaches that cause intense throbbing pain and affect about 12% of Americans. The condition can greatly affect family, work and social life. Botox to treat chronic migraines is given at intervals of about 12 weeks as multiple injections around the head and neck. Dr. Kim's approach is to customize the injections to target the patient's particular focus of migraines.
BOTOX® for TMD/TMJ
Temperomandibular joint disorder, or TMD, is a common problem with wide-reaching health effects. Patients with TMD often grind and clench their teeth. The persistent muscle clenching that causes these dental problems can cause radiating discomfort through the jaw, neck, and lower face. For patients with chronic pain caused by jaw joint problems botox provides a treatment that does not involve the use of bulky oral appliances. Botox injections are placed in the masseter muscle which relaxes the jaw and stops the constant grinding.
Radiesse®
Radiesse is a next-generation cosmetic filler composed of small microspheres particles suspended in a gel-like solution. Its unique characteristics makes it ideal for the treatment of deep facial lines and wrinkles– including smile lines, marionette lines, and nasolabial folds. Radiesse is also ideal for hand rejuvenation (pictured here) and soft tissue loss. There is no need for an allergy test prior to Radiesse filler injections. The microspheres are comprised of calcium hydroxylapatite, a substance naturally found in the body. Overall, Radiesse shows a high level of patient satisfaction, safety and longevity.

JUVÉDERM®
Juvéderm is an FDA approved, new generation, dermal hyaluronic acid filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin. Juvéderm has a smooth consistency, allowing for easy injections and instant, natural-looking results. There is no pre-testing for this procedure and results often last eight months or longer.
Juvéderm lasts longer than other hyaluronic acid fillers beacause it has a very high concentration of hyaluronic acid made through a unique formulation process.
